On NSPCC Number Day, Year 3 had lots of fun playing Maths games outside in the playground.
First of all the children practised their times tables singing along to some catchy tunes on You Tube.
Then we went outside and ran some relay races in teams, where the objective was to hand over the baton and say the next multiple in your counting pattern.
The second game the children played was throwing and catching a ball in a circle, counting on in multiples with every successful catch.
Finally, Year 3 had lots of fun marking out their own hopscotch in chalk, and then practising saying the next multiple in their counting pattern as they jumped from square to square. Maths Day was lots of fun and games are a great way of learning Times Tables!
