All of the children in Year 2 have been working exceptionally hard over the last half term completing their daily lessons remotely. They have risen to the challenge and have adapted so well. The children and their parents have kept in constant contact by uploading their work daily and having regular communication, because of this the children have excelled in their learning and have completed some excellent work.
The children have enjoyed accessing e-books on Oxford Owl as well as participating in their favourite weekly activity: Well-being Wednesday. They have been working hard in maths by learning how to tell the time to the nearest quarter, as well as developing their knowledge of multiplication and division. In literacy our most recent topic has been dinosaurs. This has been a fantastic writing topic, which has enabled the children to develop their use of sentence openers, conjunctions and expanded noun phrases. The children enjoyed the dinosaur work so much that it was used in other curriculum areas – art, dt and even PE! Enjoy our video ….
