We have had an exciting week in school this week with Key Stage 1 and 2 enjoying sport fun days run by PEAK fitness. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the activities they have tried and we hope we can have more fun filled days like this is in the future.
On Tuesday Year 1 and 2 had an exciting day filled with games! They practiced their throwing and catching skills before having a giant game of piggy in the middle. They then use those skills again to play a new game, Dragon Ball. Don’t worry there was no fire, but Year 1 and 2 were on fire with their skills! We can’t wait to play again. In the afternoon the two classes played Quidditch and Dodgeball. Quidditch was tricky as the targets were high but they were great! Well done Year 1 and 2!
On Wednesday Year 3 and 4 spent the morning shooting NERFS and dodging balls. Holding a NERF war and knockout dodgeball competition. They were fantastic, even Mrs Varga had a go at dodging the oncoming NERF ammo! |In the afternoon the children also tried their hand at archery and aimed to collect as many points as they could for their team before taking part in a new an exciting game of quidditch! Of course we ditched the broomsticks but the children were fantastic and surprised us all with their throwing and catching skills.
On Thursday Year 5 and 6 had a jammed packed day. In the morning they tried archery which was difficult at first but they soon got the hang of it and were aiming for bulls eye as well as having a huge NERF war against their class mates! In the afternoon they played a knockout round dodge ball competition and also had great fun kicking balls at a huge inflatable dartboard! It was huge, and a lot harder than it looked, especially to get a bullseye, but a few of us even managed that!
What a fantastic week! Thankyou PEAK!
