Response to Government Announcement 4th January

Monday 4th January

Dear Parents/Carers

Following the Government announcement this evening, and despite 100% commitment from our staff and Governors to remain open, we regret to inform you that we are no longer able to open our school tomorrow as planned.

This means that children will be required to stay at home and receive ‘remote learning.’ Your class teacher will contact you through Class Dojo to explain how this will work.  No children will attend school tomorrow.

From Wednesday 6th January, school will only be open for face to face teaching for children who are classed as vulnerable and the children of critical workers who can not be cared for at home.

If you wish to be considered for a ‘critical worker’ place, you must contact us by email ( before 1pm on Tuesday 5th January.

In this email, please provide the following information:

  1. Name of child/children
  2. Year Group
  3. Critical Worker Role – Please be specific.
  4. Are you attending your workplace or working from home?
  5. Is there another adult at home who is NOT a Critical Worker?
  6. State the days and times required for provision.

Evidence of Critical Worker status will be required.

I understand that this is extremely short notice.  Thank you for your patience and understanding of the difficult position we have been placed in over the last few days.

Yours Faithfully

Mrs C. Maxwell

Head Teacher
