The boys and girls in Reception Class have been working very hard at home and at school during lockdown, playing and learning with their grown ups. We’ve been reading everyday and enjoying our Oxford Owl on-line books. We have been making up some great sentences and our writing has been getting better and better. Our Phonics learning has been very impressive too with many children making excellent progress throughout Phase 3. We’ve been making great progress with our number work too and are becoming super adders and subtractors!
We have been finding out about life in the Polar Regions at home and in the classroom. We enjoyed our igloo and used it for lots of role play scenarios! We learned all about how important Daddy Penguins are and were really impressed at how they help Mammy Penguins raise the chicks! Both at home and at school we have been delighted with the recent snow falls and have been experimenting with freezing and melting.
Although it has been a productive half term for most of us, we are really looking forward to being all back together again in school soon!
