Our delicious and nutritious school lunches are cooked ‘on site’ by our Cook and kitchen team. We always offer a vegetarian option and a selection of desserts.
They cost £2.40 per day (£12 per week). This is payable through our Sims Pay system.
UNIVERSAL INFANT FREE SCHOOL MEALS (UIFSM) are provided for all children in reception and Years 1 and 2 (KS1). However for pupils currently in year 2, in order for the free school meal to continue when they begin Year 3, parents will need to apply to the means tested scheme and can do so via Gateshead Council’s website at Free school meals – Gateshead Council , by telephoning 0191 4333729 or by completing the free school meals application form.
Even if you plan to give your child a packed lunch, it is essential that you still apply for means tested free school meals if you feel you would be entitled to them.
Otherwise, our school will lose out on vital funding in the form of pupil premium money, which is used to benefit our children’s education.
