Live Tales Creative Writing Workshop

Today, Year 6 visited Live Tales at the Live Theatre in Newcastle to take part in a creative writing workshop. After warming up our bodies and our minds, the children were set the task of working together to write a new and original story. They worked as a group to create two main characters and a setting before writing the opening to the story. Michael, the workshop leader, used a ‘maybe’ ball to explore what might happen next in the story. Children then went off to write the next part by themselves. They came up with weird and wonderful plots! All children said that they found the workshop very enjoyable.
