Liturgy

As our topic for this term came to a close we took some time to reflect on the big question ‘What is commitment and is it important’. We planned a liturgy together, first in groups and then combined our ideas as a class to celebrate the theme of commitment and love and service to God and each other.
We reflected on our ideas about commitment and friendship thinking about what a good friendship needed in order to thrive and thinking about some of the key messages from the topic of fidelity and loyalty. We also looked in detail at the sacrament of marriage and how this shows commitment.
We shared our ideas from our explore about good friendships and how ultimately we show love and service to those we are committed to.
We reflected on some of the people who are committed to us and as we did this we made a commitment to add to our focal area which we would try hard to do over the coming weeks. We finished by sharing our group litanies reminding us that we are all called to live in love and service.
